标题: U Tunnel and certificate
作者: man十月 29, 2011, 09:32:03 下午
Hi,

I am running FreeU 2.3 but am not sure whether it is an authentic version or a compromised version because:

1. Under the Tunnel Tab there is no option for "Apply Emergency...." (i forgot the exact name mentioned in the User Guide)

2. Under the Tunnel Tab there is no option for the F2 or F3 tunnel as mentioned in the User Guide; there is only the "U Tunnel". Also, if this "U Tunnel" is authentic, does it automatically provide encryption for Skype? Or do I manually need to set the SOCKS5 in Skype?

3. There is an extra line at the end of the digital certificate which says:
Extended Error Information   Revocation Status : OK. Effective Date <‎Sunday, ‎October ‎30, ‎2011 3:36:25 AM> Next Update <‎Tuesday, ‎November ‎29, ‎2011 3:36:25 AM>

Is this last line normal? It is not shown in the sample certificate on Dynaweb's website.

Thanks for all your help!

In FreeU, there's no F2 or F3 tunnel. If you want to use those tunnels, you can use FreeGate. Actually, it's meaningless for you to use "emergency" functions, which is useless under the GFW now. By the way, U tunnel is included in FreeGate. The administrator here is busy all the time, so they may miss your question...good luck...
